WASHINGTON - The craze called "Twilight" had teenagers waiting in line for hours for the second installment of the series, "New Moon", on Thursday night.
When asked how long she'd be willing to wait in line to see it, Nicole Scuzzo replied, "A day. A day would be my limit."
Sara Giunca and her friends rushed to the Tysons Corner AMC as soon as they got out of school Thursday afternoon. They came dressed up with fangs and ready to drool.
"Taylor Lauder having an eight-pack has nothing to do with it," said Sara Giunca.
But beyond featuring some of Hollywood's biggest heartthrobs teens say the "Twilight" books tell an intriguing tale.
"These are really story driven and they're fast paced and really easy reads," said Twilight fan Sara Warren. "They keep you compelled."
One mother says that passion for reading is something she wants to encourage so she came prepared for a very long evening.
"We brought books and games and I brought a chair," shared Becket Warren.
Showtime wasn't until 12:30 a.m. -- a late start for teens who have to be up bright and early.
"That's part of the conditions of going," said Warren. "You must be at school on time in the morning."
But it's a sacrifice hundreds were more than willing to make.
"I know I'll probably be dead tomorrow but I feel like it's probably worth it," said Emily Seytch.
Believe it or not we found one teenager who won't be staying up for the vampires.
High school student Rajan Mehra said, "If they drag me into it, I guess I'll see it. But, I'm not waiting a day."
"New Moon" is expected to bring in $100 million just in its opening weekend. Plus, it's predicted "New Moon" will overpower the first movie, which raked in nearly $380 million worldwide.
