Police ID Person Found in Burned Car

Around 8:10 p.m. Saturday, the fire department went to the 8200 block of Willow Oaks Corporate Dr. for reported brush fire. When they arrived, they found a car engulfed in flames. When they extinguished the fire, they found the body of a person inside.
Monday, police said the body they found was that of 44-year-old Verena T. Stutts of 7115 Wayne Road in Annandale.
The case remains under investigation, but detectives do not suspect foul play in this case. The Fairfax County Fire Marshal's office is continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
