(Sports Network) - Florida remains atop the latest Bowl
Championship Series standings, as the top seven teams kept their spots from
the previous week.

While the standings remained the same, the space between the top two teams
shrank. This week, the Gators (11-0) garnered a .9664 average while Alabama
(11-0) is second at .9614. Last week, Florida had a .9833 average and the
Crimson Tide ranked second with a .9521 average, with that number being
computed by averaging the percentage totals of the Harris Interactive poll,
USA Today poll and computer rankings.

Florida and Alabama both won big this weekend and have one final hurdle
remaining until the SEC Championship Game on December 5, which figures to
serve as a de facto national semifinal if both stay undefeated until that
date. The Gators host Florida State on Saturday, while the Crimson Tide visit
Auburn for their annual Iron Bowl matchup.

Texas (11-0) remained in the third position after crushing Kansas on Saturday.
The Longhorns clinched the Big 12 South title with the victory and have a
Thanksgiving night matchup at Texas A&M before facing Nebraska in the Big 12
Championship.

Rounding out the top seven are TCU (11-0), Cincinnati (10-0), Boise State
(11-0) and Georgia Tech (10-1).

TCU remained unbeaten with a 45-10 victory at Wyoming, and ends its regular
season Saturday against New Mexico. Cincinnati, meanwhile, was idle this
weekend and plays Illinois on Friday before a showdown at Pittsburgh.

Boise State, which routed Utah State on Friday, has home games against Nevada
and New Mexico State to end its season. Georgia Tech was also idle this week
and hosts Georgia on Saturday before playing Clemson on December 5 in the ACC
title game.

LSU (8-3) had occupied the eighth spot but fell all the way to 15th after
losing at Ole Miss, which jumped into the rankings at 25th.

Oregon (9-2) moved up three places to the eighth position after its double-
overtime win at Arizona on Saturday. The Ducks can secure a bid to the Rose
Bowl with a win over Oregon State on December 3.

Pittsburgh (9-1) stayed in ninth, while Ohio State (10-2) remained 10th after
winning at Michigan. The Buckeyes captured the Big Ten title outright with the
victory, but had already secured the conference's automatic BCS bowl bid.
