posted 2:29 pm Sun December 02, 2007 - Rockville, Md.
Montgomery County Council President Marilyn Praisner has been moved from a hospital to a rehabilitation facility in Rockville as she recovers from injuries suffered in back-to-back car accidents. The 65-year-old was treated for a collapsed lung and bruises at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda. Council spokesman Neil Greenberger says he is now expected to stay at the Shady Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for a week.
The Eastern County Democrat is scheduled to complete her one-year term as council president Tuesday. One of her daughters, Alison Klumpp, will deliver traditional remarks about the past year on her behalf.
Praisner is expected to return to work early next year.
