Why the cops didn't open fire on the approaching car with the scary gunning engine noise is beyond me..
Snowball03, I also challenge your stat on 99% of people on probation are violating it, thereby becoming repeat offenders. That's just not true. 99% is too extreme. Where did you get that stat?
Yes it is very disburbing that a kid purposefully ran down a cop. But rather than immediately say we need to lock up this 15 year old for the rest of his life, what else can we do? What can the community do? What was missing in this kid's life that drove him to run over a cop? The solution has to be more than locking these kids up.
I agree, the mayor needs to take a stand against car thefts and any other crimes, lets get like California w/ the 3 strikes and you're out policy and pass the gun laws here. I'm sick of this crap, crime is getting worse here and there's only little the cops can do. What good is probation? 99% of criminals are out on probation and are still violating it and what happens when these repeat offenders get locked up month after month, the courts RELEASE them once again.
