Many of those pro illegal immigration, including George Bush, say they can't possibly go after the illegal aliens because there are just too many of them. Yet they somehow don't have a problem going after taxpaying citizens and there are a lot more of them than there are illegal aliens. Every day Americans are killed (average of 24 @ day) by illegal aliens, and the federal government is complicit in each of these crimes, because it did not do the job we pay it to do, securing our borders and enforcing immigration law. Instead of "reviewing" PW County, the feds should be hanging their heads in shame.

Why don't the feds review there own agencies and find out why these folks were allowed into this country in the first place. I don't understand how they have the time and money to investigate tax paying citizens but have no time or money to investigate those sucking off of the taxpayers....The feds need to take care of this problem, not make more problems for it's citizens. Wow, this country is so out of wack lately. Everything is backwards. Let's take care of those that don't belong and go after those that do. What sense does this make.....

I'd like to know what exactly gives these groups the right to investigate without a warrant. Just based upon their concerns. Yet they criticize Prince William for enforcing the law upon based upon community input alone.

They are attempting to use their position of authority to quash political action under "color of the law". They are attempting to create fear so Prince William will stop enforcing the law.

I wonder if any illegal immigrants ("foriegner[s]" as native american put it - and I like that word :-) ) have a computer to even read these posts. You see them on bikes and packed into trucks, I'm sure they can't afford a computer or internet. I DO hope that elected officials are following these posts carefully (but of course, I doubt it). Since most of the comments seem to relate to illegal immigrants of Hispanic origin, I just have this to write: Accept and Support! We may not like it, but we can keep fighting and "cracking down" or support politicians and legislation to ease the transition for US citizenship. Eventually as "illegals" become legal, we can be more productive in preserving peace and well being in our communities. Of course it's going to involve work, sacrifice and frustration, but we'll all be better for it in the long run.

"Illegal Foriegner", interesting. And your point is solid and made me think. They do show allegiance to a foreign contry. Flying the flag of another nation while in the US. So, looking at this in the light of flying the flag of a conquiring army. When the US military took control of cities in Iraq, I believe that the military was told to not raise an American Flag over the city since it might give the impression that we were a conquiring army and not liberators. Intereting...are we missing something?

As I have said before, keep voting Democrats into office and the illegals will soon be running this country. If you don't believe it, look at what party is promising and doing everything they can for illegals.

We can make sure that the movement to irradicate these illegal moochers from this country continues by forcing those in power to listen to the 90 percent who want them gone. Without our votes, they will not have jobs. We need to stand up and fight the politicians by showing up in large numbers at the Board of Supervisor meetings. Don't give in until they do as we ask. Fairfax County Police and Fire are being asked to make giant cuts that will in turn cut services to us that depend on these people for security and health. With the money saved by not allowing these people to suck off of the taxpayers, we could end the need to cut services. Please write to your local government or show up and speak at these meetings. If you don't, then you will get what you will....No police or fire service, and alot of illegals in your area, hospitals, DMV's, jails and clinics.......

I just saw your peice on the largest growing group of immigrants in DC. I appreciate your facts and understand them but come on people are not interested in nor do they care about the number of LEGAL immigrants to this area. We as American's don't care as long as you are LEGAL. The issue is the number of ILLEGAL immigrants. Please focus on the real issue and stop trying to spin something into an issue. Although Africans are the fastest growing group they are LEGAL,, that's not news, that's what it SHOULD be. Hispanics, take note apply legally AND learn the language just like the AFRICAN immigrants.

Very good posts native and pwmom. I myself support legal immigration, regardless of country of origin. But I have no tolerance for those that choose to flout our laws and come here ILLEGALLY! I hope PWC sticks to their guns and doesn't allow the state or anyone else bully them into changing their stance. It's a shame though that they must use taxpayer dollars to correct a problem that should not have been allowed to become a problem in the first place. Still, I would rather they cut off services and am willing to pay to throw out these lawbreakers than pay to feed and house them and their relatives for eternity.

I say in the days to come if they aren't stopped from coming here and plopping themselves down and mooching on us there will be a war like no war from the past. They have now rooted themselves into the population like cancer and if we don't cut out the disease it will soon be too late. Heed my words.. the day will come when the government will regret letting them hang here. I wish to God that the government would allow them to be hunted down and removed and forced back to their country. If they won't leave on their own then made GO by any MEANS! Let me make sure I get this righjt. These people want to come to our country and enjoy the same rights and privleges that the rest of us work so hard to support and contribute to, yet they have no desire to become legal, take pride in our country or respect our laws and culture. What does that tell you?

The issue is economic, people! As long as our government refuses to crack down entirely upon employers who hire these people (and in some instances exploit them), this issue WILL NOT go away. Governments like Montgomery, Arlington and Alexandria are NOT helping this issue by turning a blind eye and refusing to take action to stop it. And don't hand me that B.S. about Americans not wanting to do the jobs illegals are doing. Studies have NOT borne this out.

The issue is NOT over legal immigration and benefits being provided to those who immigrated according to the rules, and waited their turn in line. The issue is over those selfish, self-serving illegals who think they can jump over the line and demand the same rights and benefits of those they stepped on on their way here. If they want to leave, then goodbye and have a good life in your own country. I just won't be supporting you!

For those legal immigrants who stay, welcome, and I apologize more has not been done to educate you about the lies and falsehoods that have been told you by Mexicans without Borders and the Woodbridge Worker's Committee. These groups did you NO favor, and continue NOT to support your best interests. ASK for the details of the resolution from the Board and really read them. You will see it does NOT apply to you, and the issue about probable cause and valid ID applies to EVERYONE, not just those of color or ethnicity.

The key word here is illegal, as defined in websters dictionary means not according to or authorized by law. Immigrant as defined means a person who comes to a country to take up permanent residence. I work with immigrants hundreds of them. I asked them are they going to become US citizens they told me NO they are going to work , and send the money home to their families in their native country, and go back there and retire. So I think we have the incorrect word for them as immigrant. The word foreigner is defined as a person belonging to or owing allegiance to a foreign country. The name should be illegal foriegner. An illegal is not entitled to the same services as a legal person.

Legal residents are more than welcome to live among us. I don't understand how this resolution could possibly violate rights of the legal citizens of PW county. There is a clear distinction between these 3 words: "Resident", "illegal", and "legal." You can be an illegal resident - in which case this resolution would not be violating ANY rights because they have NONE (just basic human rights).
