Micheal Vick is serving fed time for conspiracy, not cruelty to animals. The latter is what the state will charge him with. Otherwise, what case would the state have aganist him since the constitution protects us from double jeopardy or being punished twice for the same offense. That's how he only got 23 months the big bullet will come from the state of VA.

wait a minute.....not enough info

how far away was the dog....the other house..... and he shot in the air......which could have been a little dangerous i suppose, but see above

the hunter thing is a good argument i would have done the same thing.....i have done the same thing, as a matter of fact but the dog was a guatermile away, thru the woods and i fired into the ground......ya could have heard a pin drop the rest of the night.....the dog , i know was on a chain, and probably barking because he was not fed......

Drwho, Vick is a "celebrity" and they seem to have a different set of rules and laws than us 'lower mortals.'

As far as this case; "desideratum," the hunters aren't shooting the deer in anger (one would suppose) - in this case I think the sentence was justifiable; if this guy goes "off" and starts shooting just to scare a dog, what's to say he won't lose his temper and start shooting at a human?

desideratum
This is BS! What about all those hunters who wake everyone up at 5am or 6am in the morning firing their weapons or all day long for that matter. Unless it is well away from any residential dwelling these hunters are just as guilty as this guy.

Does this seem fair. This person tries to scare a dog and he gets a year in jail.

Vick kills many dogs and injures untold numbers and he gets 23 months.

Doesn?t seem like the same justice for all.
