Rats Star In Metro Ads
   posted 12:54 pm Thu December 20, 2007 - Washington
Metro is reminding people that it's illegal to drink or eat in the Metro system with a new outreach effort starring a disgusting, hungry rodent. The transit agency is putting up new signs in Metrorail stations and trains this week depicting a rat asking, "You gonna eat that?"

The ad lets customers know that Metro doesn't have many rats or roaches because of its strict policy about food and drink, and it wants customers to keep it that way.

ABC 7 News myTAKE - What's Your Opinion?Metro's general manager, John Catoe, says that it's every customer's responsibility to care for the system by following the rules, even though he sees people leaving snack wrappers behind.

The fine for breaking the rule is $100.

Kudos Pach or those who think thier morning coffee is not breaking the "no eating rules" or the fact that the rules rarely are enforced with tourists or big game day patrons. They only want to fine the "average Joe" who can probably barely afford the Metro in the first place.

Now when I commute I can eat and drink, Metro's prices drove me to drive. lol
