Kudos Pach or those who think thier morning coffee is not breaking the "no eating rules" or the fact that the rules rarely are enforced with tourists or big game day patrons. They only want to fine the "average Joe" who can probably barely afford the Metro in the first place.

Now when I commute I can eat and drink, Metro's prices drove me to drive. lol

In China you can get roasted rat on a stick. I'm serious.

I've seen far more adults breaking the "no eating" rules than kids. I also don't care for those office-jockey types who leave their newspapers on the seats or the floor and don't consider themselves as "litterers."

Gloria I totally agree. They take drinks and food and then complain about the lack of cleanliness or the cars/buses and stations. Kids with gum then they stick it to the seat or the carpet..it makes no sense.

I don't understand why people think they should eat and/or drink on Metro. If you can't take a ride that distance without stuffing your face then there is something wrong with you. I don't ride public transportation, only because it is not accessible in my area, but I see people every where chomping their chips and slurping their drinks. When they come here to our building to the window in the lobby they are eating. I hope they get fined and fined good if they continue to do it. How can you expect the buses and trains to be clean?
