A Metropolitan Police Officer who was seriously injured after being struck by a car was released from Washington Hospital Center Saturday.
Officer Brian Bobick was on bicycle patrol with another officer in the 4,200-block of Ord Street, NE earlier this month when a 15-year-old suspect in a stolen black Cadillac attempted to run them over. D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said Bobick pushed the other officer out of the way before he was struck. The other officer was not injured.
Police arrested the 15-year-old in connection with the incident and recovered the stolen vehicle involved.
