Bam Margera Closer to Opening Theater

Bam Margera is a step closer to opening a theater in his hometown. West Chester Borough Council has agreed to withdraw its objection to a liquor license for the MTV star's planned theater after a long list of conditions were met. The council voted 5-2 in favor of withdrawing its protest of the license after backers agreed not to sell package goods.

Margera, 28, says he was willing to compromise and is just trying to make the borough happy.

ABC 7 News myTAKE - What's Your Opinion? The professional skateboarder became a punk hero on MTV's "Jackass" and "Viva La Bam." He is teaming with a business partner to open the theater.

The liquor control board will have a hearing for neighborhood groups opposed to the theater who have filed protests.
