Ryan Getzlaf added a goal and two assists and Teemu Selanne also tallied for the Ducks, who have reeled off four straight wins.

Jonas Hiller won his third straight start with a 36-save performance.

ABC 7 News myTAKE - What's Your Opinion? "Well we were terrible in the second period so we had to redeem ourselves," said Ducks coach Randy Carlyle. "We knew we couldn't play another period like we did in the second and we have to credit our goaltender basically for keeping us in the hockey game. Then we found a way to get something going for ourselves in the third."

Matt Cullen provided the only offense for the Hurricanes, who have lost four of five.

Starting netminder Cam Ward stopped 12-of-13 shots in the first period before leaving due to a lower-body injury. Michael Leighton stepped in and allowed three goals on 14 shots for the loss.

"He's got a lower-body injury right now that we're going to assess," said Hurricanes coach Peter Laviolette. "We just didn't want to risk any further injury so hopefully it's nothing that's long term."

Selanne put Anaheim ahead with a power-play goal 7:16 into the third period, and Niedermayer provided a two-goal cushion 1:09 later.

Niedermayer hit the net again with 5:05 remaining for a 4-1 Ducks lead and Hiller stopped all 10 shots he faced over the final 20 minutes to nail down the win.

Getzlaf opened the scoring 1:44 in, then Cullen followed to equalize for Carolina at 6:48.

The Hurricanes unleashed a 17-shot barrage in the second period but could not dent Hiller.
