(Sports Network) - The Atlanta Hawks resume a season-long eight-game homestand Sunday when they welcome the Detroit Pistons to Philips Arena.
The Hawks improved to 3-1 on the residency Friday when Flip Murray scored 14 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter as Atlanta doubled up the Golden State Warriors in the final frame to pull out the 115-99 victory.
Marvin Williams posted 22 points and nine rebounds, while Joe Johnson finished with 19 points, five assists and five boards for the Hawks, who have won four of five and improved to an impressive 10-2 at home this season. Josh Smith and Al Horford added 14 points apiece in the win.
Atlanta will also face Oklahoma City, Chicago and Denver on its homestand.
The Pistons, meanwhile, lost for the first time in four games on Friday when Utah's Mehmet Okur and Paul Millsap scored 26 and 24, respectively, and hauled in 12 rebounds apiece to lead the Jazz in a 120-114 double-overtime victory over Detroit at The Palace.
Allen Iverson had 38 points and seven helpers for the Pistons while Richard Hamilton added 30 points and Tayshaun Prince scored 17 with seven boards and six assists.
Rasheed Wallace had 12 points -- all coming via the three-pointer -- for the Pistons, who last beat Utah on March 13, 2005.
Detroit, which is 7-5 as the visitor this season, swept the four-game season series over Atlanta in 2007-08 and has won eight of its last nine meetings with the Hawks. The Pistons have also won eight of their last 10 contests in Atlanta.
