High pressure that provided this weekend’s beautiful weather will gradually slide east of the area as we head into the new work week as we watch a cold front crawl toward the region. Today will be another mild day with highs in the 60s but it will feature an increase in clouds ahead of the front. By late tonight, the cold front will be knocking on our doorstep so we expect showers to arrive from west to east. The wet weather will continue Tuesday with perhaps one-half to three-quarters of an inch of rainfall possible. The showers will diminish Tuesday afternoon with the passage of the cold front. Temperatures will still be very mild Tuesday with highs in the upper 50s to near 60.
Behind the front, our winds will become northwesterly Wednesday, ushering in drier but sharply cooler weather for the second half of the work week. Highs will only reach 50 Wednesday and the mercury will hold in the mid-40s Thursday and Friday.
Enjoy your new work week!
