After a wet morning rush, sunshine will return by afternoon but it will be much cooler and breezier too!

Scattered showers will accompany a cold front slicing through the area and expect much cooler air. Showers will end late morning and it will become breezy as winds pick-up from northwest. Temperatures may rise slightly into the lower 50 by midday but fall into the 40s during the afternoon. (Our daytime high was recorded just after midnight.) Skies will gradually clear, as well.

High pressure will control the local weather pattern from late Tuesday through Friday and perhaps straight into the start of this upcoming weekend. Look for partly to mostly sunny skies along with seasonably cool temperatures. Some models hint at an unsettled and wet pattern for Sunday and Monday, but it's still too early to pin that down.
