Today's Forecast

ABC7’S BRIAN van de GRAAFF

Dense fog area-wide will lead to a longer morning commute…

Fog will be a problem for the morning commute with Dense Fog Advisories in place area-wide with the exception of the Shenandoah Valley. Then, some of the clouds may break for a touch of sunshine as the warm front lifts north allowing tepid temperatures in the afternoon. But don't pull out the sunglasses just yet, afternoon showers and possibly even thunderstorms are likely as a cold front right, on the heels of the warm front, will chip away at temperatures for the remainder of the work week.

High pressure will bring more sunshine on Tuesday. But then, a low pressure developing on the southern flank of the front will bring back the clouds and a threat for a shower south and east of the District Wednesday. High pressure pushes the front far enough east to bring clearing skies for the remainder of the week. Temperatures Tuesday through Friday will be more seasonable with highs around 50°. Have a great day!
