ABC7’S BRIAN van de GRAAFF
Sunshine returns but a stiff wind will keep wind chills in the teens….
A clipper system passed overnight leaving a slick coating of snow area-wide with about an inch on average, with some higher amounts (2 to 3) southeast in Southern Maryland and the Northern Neck! Be cautious of slick roads this morning. Morning clouds will break for sunshine with highs to near 30° but a gusty wind will make for wind chills in the teens. Overnight will be cold with lows in the teens with calming winds.
Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy and cold once again with light snow developing later in the day. At this point, it would appear 1 to 3 inches are possible as the system swings through the region into the overnight. The evening rush would be the biggest concern out of this system. By the weekend, skies clear with ample sunshine and continued cold temperatures; near freezing Saturday and upper 30s by Sunday. At this point, 50s are likely by next Tuesday. Be safe and have a great day!
