ABC7’S BRIAN van de GRAAFF
AM clouds and a sprinkle or two give way to partial afternoon sun with a wide temperature spread…
A warm front is approaching from the south, but that warm push will not make it into the entire region today. Temperatures will vary vastly from the 60s through Southern Central Virginia to upper 40s in Northern Maryland! DC will wind up somewhere in the middle – most likely low to middle 50s with some sunshine penetrating through the clouds this afternoon.
The warm air should arrive tomorrow pushing the entire region well into the 60s, (if not beyond) before a potent cold front rockets through later in the day. At this point, showers and even a few storms are possible; maybe even a strong to severe storm, especially south of the city. Cooler air spills in for Thursday with more seasonable highs in the low to mid 40s. A weak clipper could bring some overnight flurries before even colder air arrives for the end of the week! Have a great day!
