Spring-like warmth again today before the threat of some strong evening storms…
Yesterday, the warm air surged into the region and pushed temperatures well into the 60s and even 70s, although no records were broken. I think today will feature similar warmth with some added cloud cover and a bit of southerly breeze. A strong cold front will bring the potential for some strong, possibly even severe, storms later tonight, mostly after the evening rush and up through midnight. Keep that in mind if you have plans tonight.
Temperatures will drop through the first half of the morning Thursday before leveling off in the 40s. A stiff wind out of the NW will add a chill under a partly cloudy sky. A reinforcing shot of colder air arrive early Friday along with a fast clipper that could put down a coating of snow in the early morning. What a weather week - enjoy the ride!
