FROM ABC7’S BRIAN van de GRAAFF
Low clouds and fog break for sunshine today with mild highs near 50°…
Yesterday’s storm system brushed the area with light precipitation and the region gets off damp and foggy start. With some outlying areas hovering around freezing, wet spots may actually be icy, so use caution, especially on side roads, exits and overpasses. However, the region will dry out nicely under ample sunshine and with mild temperatures near 50°! Perfect for last minute running around to find that perfect something for your Valentine! :) Tomorrow brings a mix of sun and clouds as well as continued warm air as highs will peak into the low and middle 50s ahead of a very strong cold front. A late sprinkle or shower is possible as an arctic airmass glides on in.
The weekend will remind us that winter is indeed still alive! Expect temperatures to struggle to hit 40° on Saturday and hover only in the middle 30s for Sunday. A few flurries or even a snow shower cannot be ruled out over the weekend but nothing significant – other than the cold. Have a great day!
