Today's Forecast

FROM ABC7’S BRIAN van de GRAAFF

A sunny and mild start to the week will give way to wet Tuesday afternoon….

The gusty winds of yesterday subsided overnight with high pressure moving in from the west. Today will feature plenty of sunshine and very nice weather with highs near 50 degrees. The same storm producing a developing a blizzard in the Plains will edge closer to our region Tuesday. Rain will develop tomorrow by afternoon with an initial shot of sleet, freezing rain and snow possible in the far western suburbs. The temperatures will stay above average in the wake of the warm front on Wednesday but then the cold front will move through later in the evening with little fanfare. The rest of the period Thursday through Sunday will feature slowly falling daytime highs as cold air slowly builds into the East. Have a great day!
