Today's Forecast

FROM ABC7’S BRIAN van de GRAAFF

The monster Midwest storm will move our way today and overspread the region with a good soaking rain! While the drive in will be dry, the ride home will be a different story. Models predict 1 to 2 inches of rain and that is why there is a Flood Watch up for parts of Northern Virginia, D.C. and northward to the PA border. While just rain will fall locally, a mix of sleet and freezing rain is likely for elevations 1,000 feet or greater, near and along I-81 where a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 6PM. Rain ends late tonight with gusty breezes followed by a brief warm-up Wednesday where temperatures could soar to near 60°, with a late day shower or sprinkle, mainly north. Colder weather moves in for the end of the week! Have a great day!
