More heat and humidity with a couple of afternoon storms…

Scattered storms erupted yesterday and packed quite a punch with a wind gust of 73 mph reported at Loudoun County HS! Today and tomorrow will feature more heat and humidity with sultry afternoon highs in the low to mid 90s. At times it could feel like 100º or higher with a couple of afternoon thunderstorms possible. Late week an approaching cold front may decrease the heat slightly, but daily storm chances linger. Stay cool and have a great day!

In case you missed our ABC7 Storm Watch special "Surviving Severe Weather" last Friday, Adam Caskey is posting segments over the next several days, so you don't entirely miss out on the action! Today Doug Hill introduces you to David Hoadley, the "Father of Storm Chasing," as he chats about his experiences tornado chasing and offers insight into the recent deaths of three fellow chasers here.
