Today's Forecast

Temperature will range 15 to 25 degrees above normal through the weekend!

Wow, what a day…yesterday saw temperatures near 60 degrees area-wide and we will have more of the same again today! As the southerly breeze continues into the weekend, temperatures will continue to warm significantly each day. The mercury will climb into the middle 60s on Saturday with partly sunny skies – not to typical for the first day of winter! By Sunday, a slow-moving cold front will be knocking on our doorstep. As it approaches, the sky will turn mostly cloudy but that will not deter temperatures from soaring into the upper 60s to near 70- unseasonably warm and not far off of the record of 72 from 1889 at Reagan National Airport**! The front will eventually bring some rain to the area late Sunday into Monday morning. Behind the front, our winds will become northwesterly, inviting cooler weather back into the region Monday with highs in the 50s.

The outlook for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day remains unchanged…partly to mostly sunny and seasonable with highs in the lower to middle 40s. Have a great day!
