A monstrous supercell is born in McCook, Neb., on June 19

Storm-chasing photographer Mike Hollingshead makes a living diving into dangerous situations to document the raging turmoil of a thoroughly pissed-off atmosphere. A deceptively peaceful beginning

Mike Hollingshead was hunting storms near North Platte, Neb., when he noticed this "rainbow-colored circumhorizon arc," a halo formed by high-up ice crystals. Nothing to worry about....
