Tropical storm Beatriz becoming Hurricane Beatriz: 2nd east Pacific cyclone of 2011

The storm edged toward the western coast of Mexico on Monday, prompting a hurricane warning from Zihuatanejo northwest to La Fortuna. Says NOAA: "Preparations to protect life and property should be rushed to completion."
