PHOTOS: Teachers accused of crimes against kids

The following area teachers have been charged with crimes against children. Charges are only formal accusations of wrong-doing, not convictions of guilt. Take a poll and see Richard Reeve's story.

Thomas M. Irvin, 48, of the District, pleaded guilty in D.C. Superior Court in June to a charge assault against a secondary education student. In May, Anacostia’s decades-long boy’s and girls’ basketball coach, Frank Briscoe, turned himself in to authorities after he learned a warrant was issued for his arrest for allegedly enticing a 17-year-old female basketball player for sex.
