From Thundersnow to drenching rains to searing heat to tornadoes, the Washington D.C. area got hit with almost every kind of severe weather imaginable in 2011. Here's a fond (or not so fond) look back.
It all started with ice
In mid-January, an ice storm froze the region, knocking out power, closing roads and leaving residents to chip ice off everything in sight.
