Honor those who have served the country on Veterans Day by paying a visit to one of the area's many war memorials.
World War II Memorial
The National World War II Memorial is located on the National Mall and consists of 56 pillars and a pair of arches surrounding a plaza and fountain. It was open to the public in 2004.
