Space camp for the blind (photos)

For one week each year, space camp in Huntsville, Alabama, caters to visually impaired students. Tune in to ABC7 reporter Pamela Brown's interview with some lucky local students who get to attend this year today at 5 p.m. on WJLA.

The kids who attend the camp and their parents rave about how wonderful it is. One attendee said the camp “makes me feel different. Space camp doesn't remind me that I'm blind. It's normal, it's fun, and the whole time I'm learning new skills.”
