The winter blues, or Seasonal Affective Disorder, is an episode of depression that most often occurs during the winter months, according to the National Institutes of Health. People affected by SAD may withdraw socially and experience loss of interest in work or other activities. Don't be afraid to reach out and ask someone you know for help or company during this time. Soon, winter will be on its way, and the longer days and sunshine will help your low mood improve.
