Health food staples: What to buy - and keep - in your fridge this season
It's almost bathing suit season, and we're all paying a bit more attention to our waistlines. Healthy eating is key to getting and staying in shape, so take a look at which health foods should be a mainstay in refrigerators and pantries this season.
Tomatoes
Tomatoes are lycopene powerhouses, the antioxidant linked to lowering heart disease and breast cancer. But beware of how you consume them -- their processed forms (spaghetti sauce) usually contains loads of sugar and sodium. Instead, try eating them raw with a bit of olive oil drizzled on top.
