Washington Redskins quarterbacks: The 18 to start under center since 1994
In 1994, the Washington Redskins drafted Heath Shuler in the 1st round of the NFL Draft. It was the last time the team took a QB that high. Since then, the Redskins have seen 18 different players start a game under center. Here's a fond (or not-so-fond) look back.
Gus Frerotte (1994-1998)
Frerotte had one of the longer tenures at quarterback during this time period, going 19-26-1 during parts of five seasons. He also intentionally rammed his head into a padded wall while celebrating a touchdown in a 7-7 tie against New York in 1997, spraining his neck.
