People across D.C. spent the day finding ways to beat the heat. More than half the month has been 95 degrees or higher, threatening to be the hottest July on record. See how residents coped with the triple digit temperatures.
A few dozen autograph seekers, some under umbrellas, stood outside the Washington Nationals parking lot early on Wednesday afternoon. The fans waited in a small gated area on the sidewalk with baseballs, notebooks, photographs and other memorabilia.
