Krislee Nelson, 21, who moved to the U.S. from Jamaica in 2004, received permanent residence in 2006, and shortly after 11 a.m. on Wednesday she became an American citizen. Nelson was among 98 people from 45 different countries who took part in a naturalization ceremony during an Independence Day celebration at Mount Vernon in Alexandria, Va.
