Hurricane Isaac Approaches Second Landfall
A visible-infrared radiometer suite on a satellite captured this image of Hurricane Isaac early on August 29th minutes before making a second landfall near Port Fourchon, La., at 2:15 a.m. CDT. This particular satellite image detects light in a range of wavelengths and intensifies dim light signals (which in this case were also assisted by the moonlight).
