Not all fat is evil. Fat--the healthy kind--is actually necessary and could even help you lose weight and look better. Take a look at some sources of healthy fat and what their benefits are.
Fat is not always harmful
There are two main types of potentially helpful dietary fats: Monounsaturated and Polyunsaturated fats. Eating monounsaturated fats has shown to improve blood cholesterol, insulin and blood sugar levels. Polyunsaturated fats have proven the same benefits, along with decreasing the risk of type 2 diabetes. Examples of these fats are olive, safflower, peanut and corn oil.
