Dust Plume Over The South

A massive dust storm developed over Oklahoma in late October 2012 due to strong winds and an extreme drought. The dust plume could be seen from space over Alabama and Georgia, which can be seen from the NASA Terra satellite. The Oklahoma dust storm is being compared to the 1930s Dust Bowl era.
