2012 Blessing of the Animals at the Washington National Cathedral
Pets from all over the D.C. area came to the Washington National Cathedral Sunday for the annual Blessing of the Animals, which honors St. Francis of Assisi's love for animals.
Stephanie Gorman of Dupont Circle brought her six-year-old Coton de Tulear, Morty, for Sunday's Blessing of the Animals at the Washington National Cathedral. She said she looked, but couldn't find a synagogue in the area that has a similar ceremony.
