Top 10 worst Thanksgiving drives

More than 43 million people are packing up their cars and hitting the road over the next few days. Unfortunately, some of those trips to grandma’s house will include some serious traffic backups. Texas A&M Transportation Institute and INRIX recently teamed up to highlight some of the worst Thanksgiving drives in the country. Guess what? D.C. made the list.

Highway 24 is the lone artery connecting the communities in north Contra Costa County to San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area. Drivers describe it simply as a "nightmare".
