Wellness Wednesdays: Top ways to have a healthy Thanksgiving
It’s a day to be thankful, merry and to be among those you love—but, as you are feasting with friends and family, keeping a watchful eye on your consumption may prevent any post-Thanksgiving waistline regret. The average American will consume more than 4,500 calories and 229 grams of fat on Thanksgiving Day alone, the Caloric Control Council said.
Add an activity to your day
Mix it up and add an outdoor (or some indoor) activity to your day. Go for a hike, play a game of football, or, if you want to stay indoors, play a game with your family and friends. The day does not need to be centered fully on food.
