It’s a day to be thankful, merry and to be among those you love—but, as you are feasting with friends and family, keeping a watchful eye on your consumption may prevent any post-Thanksgiving waistline regret. The average American will consume more than 4,500 calories and 229 grams of fat on Thanksgiving Day alone, the Caloric Control Council said.
Slow down the guzzle
It's a day to be merry, but slow down with the drinks. Not only are most festive alcoholic drinks high in calories, but, the more you drink, the more you are also inclined to eat--it's a slippery slope.
