Wellness Wednesdays: Top ways to have a healthy Thanksgiving
It’s a day to be thankful, merry and to be among those you love—but, as you are feasting with friends and family, keeping a watchful eye on your consumption may prevent any post-Thanksgiving waistline regret. The average American will consume more than 4,500 calories and 229 grams of fat on Thanksgiving Day alone, the Caloric Control Council said.
Take a walk
After eating your meal, take a walk, even if it's a quick one, to help digest your food--its a healthy alternative to sinking into the couch and giving in to your 'food slumber.'
