National Trolley Museum takes a historic view of railway travel

In a world of planes, trains and automobiles, it's nice to take a look at trollies--their slower, more scenic counterpart. The National Capital Trolley Museum allows visitors to take a look into the "heritage of electric and interurban railways of Washington, DC." Take a look.

Although D.C.'s new streetcar system is still in the works, there's a track in Montgomery County that's open for business. The National Capital Trolley Museum's two-mile ride takes visitors out into the forest. It's not for commuting, but you might see some deer.
