National Trolley Museum takes a historic view of railway travel

In a world of planes, trains and automobiles, it's nice to take a look at trollies--their slower, more scenic counterpart. The National Capital Trolley Museum allows visitors to take a look into the "heritage of electric and interurban railways of Washington, DC." Take a look.

A view of the NCTM maintenance carhouse, which is partially open to tours, and its museum (back right). This complex was opened in 2010 after construction of the MD 200 InterCounty Connector displaced the museum's previous location nearby.
