Up Close and Personal With Jupiter
This is the most detailed global color map, composed of 36 images, that has ever been produced of Jupiter. It shows Jupiter’s northern and southern hemisphere as the planet rotated beneath NASA’s Cassini spacecraft. The small bright spots within the orange band north of the equator are lightning-producing thunderstorms.
