Same-sex couples marry in Maryland (photos)
Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake officiated same-sex weddings in Maryland a little after midnight on Jan. 1. Same-sex couples are now legally allowed to marry in Maryland, the first state south of the Mason-Dixon Line to allow gay marriage.
Tasker (left) and Scales exchanged wedding rings during their ceremony on Tuesday. Scales said he's worked in the Baltimore mayor's office since Kurt Schmoke's terms in the 1980s and 90s.
