Same-sex couples marry in Maryland (photos)
Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake officiated same-sex weddings in Maryland a little after midnight on Jan. 1. Same-sex couples are now legally allowed to marry in Maryland, the first state south of the Mason-Dixon Line to allow gay marriage.
The final couple to wed was Roy Allen Neal (left), a nurse, and William Countryman, Jr., a paralegal. The two men live in Dallastown, Pa. and have been together for 30 years.
