Mission Take Off

Since 1972, the Landsat program has tracked changes in land cover and land use around the globe. On February 11, the Atlas V rocket successfully carried the Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM) satellite into orbit from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. It's amazing the space technology we have today.
