Sandy and Katrina
Wind fields of Sandy and Katrina compared. These are similar geographic scales of the wind fields of Hurricane Katrina (2005) and Hurricane Sandy (2012) by similar satellite instruments (Indian Space Research Organization-Sandy, NASA-Katrina). The highest wind speeds are in deep red. The concentrated winds of Katrina are easy to see, but also look at the much larger extent of Sandy's winds. Sandy a bigger storm than Katrina?
